....Free Movement

Kolekce podzim/zima 2016 vyniká čistotou formy. Vychází ze základního zobrazení dvourozměrného tvaru v kombinaci s kontrastním pohybem. Výsledkem jsou střihově ojedinělé modely s minimem krejčovských zásahů. Představu kontinuální křivky podporují čistě přírodní materiály jako hedvábí, vlna, bavlna a kašmír. To vše v barvách ledu a lišejníku.

Záměr a tvarová proměnlivost modelu vyniknou až v pohybu,
na těle konkrétního člověka.

Free Movement

The Fall/Winter 2016 collection is so far the purest in terms of form, combining 2D shapes with contrasting movement. The outcome is uniquely constructed models with a minimum of cuts and seams. The sense of a flowing curve is enhanced by natural materials such as silk, wool, cotton, and cashmere. The colour scheme resembles ice and lichen.

Movement is a central idea of zhe collection. It is the fabric which provides the initial impulse, embracing, wrapping and enveloping the figure. The creative process is informed by the material. The way in which garments move on the body further develops and completes the idea of each model. The increasing dynamism of movement is projected onto a continuum of three principles.

Principle 1: The design process begins with a static line, creating a 2D form on paper – the model outline. Classic couture does not apply here since the garment is not fitted to the body. The initial line takes on the form of a negative seam, highlighting the original form. The garment only comes to life on the wearer’s body.
Principle 2: Light movement of a fabric in different directions is the main inspiration here. Models following this principle envelope the wearer in one or two pieces of fabric. The garment minimises the use of seams; fitted to the body only by means of essential darts. The soft movement around the body is in sharp contrast with negative seams and protruding edges.
Principle 3: These models are inspired by the dynamic movement of material. A single piece of fabric envelopes the figure several times, resulting in a softer, rounded outline which cloaks the body, using a minimum number of seams and darts. The intention and changeable character of the garment only becomes evident in motion, when worn by a particular person.
